Sometimes earphones sound quality reduces after extensive use of the earphones. Worst part is, one side of the earphones works fine and the sound quality in the other side of the earphone reduces. Isn’t that annoying? This thing, I am gonna share now also works to improve the sound quality of the earphones, Same sound quality as you get in a brand new device.
Let’s see how!
I am using earpods for this, here are the steps.
Clean the earphones with a toothpick to remove the visible dust and the ear wax from the corners of the holes that gives out the sound.
Now, remove the filter of the mesh from the earphones using anything sharp. Here, I used a compass. These are the ones that filters the sound and protects the internal structure of the ear-piece.
Lit a candle and gently burn the mesh. Hold the mesh with some holder and then try putting it on the fire gently. What this does is, it burns in-turn removes all the dust and wax present in the puny holes of the mesh.
Now, put the mesh under the fire until the mesh is cleared. Wait for a few seconds for the mesh to cool down.
Put back the mesh into the earphones.
Not only for the earpods, this should fix any earphones. Provided the mesh must be removable;);)
Do the same with the both sides of the earphones. This should fix the sound quality of the earphones, if the problem is really the blocking of the holes in the mesh. It worked for my ear-pods, I accidentally dropped my earpods in my food and from then one side of the earpods stopped working. The food material blocked the mesh, and when I did the above process, it is back to normal. When I also did this to the other side of the earpods, the sound quality was even better.
If the mesh isn’t the problem, The problem might be with the wire itself, to fix it checkout my article on it at Fixing the wire of an earphone or a speaker.
